Appendix 2: Mentor Centre Model

South Manchester CLC has 3 sessions a week for bands and has run a highly successful Whole Classroom model for Primary schools. They have a unique music room specifically developed for their music programme and are doing truly amazing things. They run regular events, providing an opportunity for the students to perform and they work closely with the Music Services.

Monday 9.30–11.30 Gigajam with primary kids
Monday 4.00–6.30 BTEC rock and roll with secondary kids
Monday 6.30–7.30 Family learning with Gigajam
Tuesday 1.30–2.30 4 Autistic kids – Gigajam (they are doing surprisingly well)
Tuesday 4.00–6.30 BTEC rock and roll with secondary kids
Wednesday 4.30–6.30 X band with secondary kids
